Our recitals, also known as the Holiday Celebration of Music will be held over the weekend of December 5th and 6th, 2025 (a Friday and Saturday). For your convenience we will have a number of times to choose from, to accommodate schedules for parents, students and teachers.
We are excited to announce that this event will be at the Trinity Presbyterian Church of Seven Springs located at 4651 Little Road, just up the street from Music Matters. We have had recitals there in the past and it is a beautiful facility with great sound and amenities.
The event will have a $40 fee, per student, payable at the time of reserving a time slot. This covers use of facility, programs, teacher’s fees, set up, etc.
No reservations may be made without payment, and the student survey form completed and submitted.
We will be limiting each event to 25 performances – with one song per student (included). However, students taking more than one lesson may perform a song for each type of lesson (included). Students may also perform up to 2 additional songs, at a fee of $10 each. Each event
will last about 1 and a half hour- followed by pictures, cookies, hot chocolate, sodas and awards.
Participating for a music recital is a valuable tool for helping students to achieve musical dreams. The event should be a fun, positive experience for students at any ability level. It is also an opportunity for the students to establish a goal that gives them self-esteem and direction. Teachers are encouraging all students and parents to be involved, as this is considered part of the lesson program.
We expect a variety of performances during each session. Most teachers will be available for several times over the weekend to offer more choices for the parents. We also know that many teachers are busy and have limited availability. Therefore, available times will be on a first come basis.
Registration will open November 17th on a first come basis!
Please register as soon as possible beginning Nov. 19th – we expect all of the time slots to fill up. Please do not ask to add when we are filled as families do not want to have a long even, especially with small kids and/or other plans.
*The student survey form must be filled out and submitted in order to register.
A student survey form will be available in store, and will be available here on the festival page as soon as it is ready.
This can be emailed to: musicmattersfl1@gmail.com or submitted at time of payment, in person.
NO REGISTRATION WITHOUT THIS FORM, PLEASE.
The deadline to register and pay is November 30, 2025. That's just days before the recital and is subject to availability.
Friday, December 5th - 7:00 PM
Saturday, December 6th - Noon, 2:00 PM, 4:00 PM, and 6:00 PM
We will have a list of teacher availability at the front desk soon.
Students generally want to perform when their teacher is at the event,
but if this doesn’t work out we will make sure the students are taken
care of. Please plan to perform, even if your teacher will not be there.
We will have another teacher available to help you.
Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early. This is a special
occasion so please dress accordingly. Students will sit on the stage, on
the choir chairs, during the event. Behind the stage is the choir room,
available for run through, warm-up and tunings.
The past recitals have been fun for the students and their families. This
Holiday Celebration of Music should be the best one yet! Pick your
music, sign up, and tell your family and friends!
Music Matters hosts two recital festivals each year, typically in January and June! We will have a multitude of separate music recital slots to choose from to suit your weekend schedule.
Our teachers and staff look forward to this each year as we hear the progress each student has made with their countless hours of practice and instruction by our wonderful teachers!
